Complying Development Certificates

Complying Development Certificates (CDC) are a form of development consent issued pursuant to Part 4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. CDC’s are for more routine forms of development that are defined in an Environmental Planning Instrument and are capable of certification by Accredited Certifiers as well as Councils, when assessed against fixed standards.

State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 provides for Strata Subdivision as Complying Development subject to certain development standards being satisfied. The majority of new developments comply with these standards.

If a CDC may be issued for the development, then development consent from Council is not required. Land Development Certificates has four accredited certifiers with the necessary B1 category accreditation to assess and determine CDC applications for Strata Subdivision.
